My second pregnancy was really hard on my body. I went for a pregnancy massage at Rejuvenations and I was hooked. Knowing that my therapist was trained specifically in pregnancy massage gave me the peace of mind to just relax and let go- I knew I was in “good hands”. I started counting down the days in between my appointments. My son loved the massages, too. He would wiggle and dance during the massage, then go to sleep for hours. It was like magic.”~Brittney, Reston, VA

The Pregnancy Massage Center Difference
- We are the only massage center in Northern Virginia that allows only therapists with advanced training in pregnancy massage work with pregnant clients. We are here to address the unique needs you’re body has during pregnancy.
- We are fully staffed Monday through Sunday and offer convenient on-line booking.
- When you schedule your 60- or 90-minute pregnancy massage, you really get 60 or 90 minutes of massage…most massage centers give you 50 minutes of massage for every hour you book, so you’re paying for ten minutes that you’re not getting. Our massages are for the full time you’ve scheduled.
Why is Pregnancy Massage good for most pregnant women? Because massage prepares your body for delivery by helping increase elasticity and range of motion in the joints and muscles associated with childbirth. And by helping blood flow in the legs, massage can reduce the chances of edema, varicose veins and blood clots. After your delivery, our post-natal massage can help your body recover and restore, and give you the energy you need to care for you little one.
The Difference Between Advanced Training and Certification
Many clients call and ask if our pregnancy massage therapists are certified because they read articles or their doctors tell them to see a certified practitioner. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as certification in pregnancy massage—many instructors issue certificates, but that’s not the same thing. We’ve seen people call themselves “certified” after taking a 2-hour, on-line tutorial. We don’t think that’s enough training to safely perform pregnancy massage. Our therapists are trained to the minimum standards (and more) set forth by the American Pregnancy Massage Association, a group that is working toward standardizing pregnancy massage education and, ultimately, establishing certification.
